There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

KIA 25 August, 1944 after his Ju 87 had received battle damage north of Focsani Romania, crashing during the landing approach to Focsani airfield and catching fire, Schübel being critically burned. Carried to Buzau hospital by Ju 52, he died that same day. He was buried in Buzau. 596 missions in the Ju 87. Added: Hptm Schübel has not been transferred to a military cemetery, but a grave is believed to exist at Bazau (confirms). He is commemorated in the memorial book at Sercaia-Sammelfriedhof, Romania. His R/O-Gnr, Ogefr Willibald Gaumer, was WIA (D.DRury).

WIA 15/16 February, 1945 when he crashed at Ziesar, west of Grevenbroich, near Burg after aerial combat (Boiten). Forced to bail from his G-6 on 1 February, 1945 after being shot down by another German Night Fighter at Noithausen, Grevenbroich. Remaining crew (all bailed safely): Fw Hans Hahn, R/O and Ogefr Helmut Pareidt, Gunner. 54 combat missions. One known victory, a "4 mot" at St. Valery on 28 June, 1944. A "4 mot" at Ouarville, E of Chatres, on 5 July, 1944. A 2nd "4 mot", same day, SW of Chartres. A 4th, a "4 mot" at Montbard on 25 July, 1944. A 5th, a "4 mot" 4 km E of Chateuadun on 29 July, 1944. A 6th, a "4 mot" in the Le Harve-Lisieux area on 8 August, 1944. Flugbuch. Magnus & Boiten, 8 victories. Deceased 3 September, 1998, Salzkotten.

Possibly shot down by AA fire, he crashed at Longfield Farm, Smeatharpe, near Honiton, Devon at 00:55 hours. Remaining crew (all KIC): Ofw Hermann Kessler, Observer; Uffz Gerhard Hähnel, R/O; Uffz Wilhelm Sommer, Mech. and Uffz Helmut Grabke, Gnr. Strickstrock parachuted and landed at Middle Luxton Farm, one half mile away. Source: Bristol Past, John Penny. The deceased buried at CC, Plot 6, Row 17: Kessler Gr 342; Hähnel Gr 340; Sommer Gr 341 and Grabke Gr 339. It is also noted that they may have been sd by a Hurricane of No. 87 Sq., piloted by P/O R.J. Cock (D.Drury).

KIA 5 September, 1940 after being shot down during aerial combat over Appledore Station, Tenterden, Kent, by Sgt Charles Alexander Lyall Hurry, in a Hurricane of RAF No. 43 Sq.. The AC crashed at Appledore Station, Kent. The remains of Oblt Strobl were recovered from his ac, 5 September, 1986, exactly 46 years after his death, and returned to his home in Austria, where he is buried in Kolbnitz. One known victory, his 1st, a Morane 406 southwest of Roye, 6 June, 1940. His 2nd, a Battle at Romilly-sur-Seine, 13 June, 1940. His 3rd, a Hurricane S of the Isle of Wight on 8 August, 1940. A "damaged" Spitfire near Ashford on 1 September, 1940. Alternate spelling: Ströbl.

The ac crashed into the North Sea off Ingoldmells Point, near Skegness, Lincolnshire. Remaining crew: Uffz Leopold Auer, Obs (bur CC/3/8/226); Uffz Horst Pauer, R/O (bur CC/3/8/227) and Uffz Helmut Seidel, Flt Engr (bur St Mary's Churchyard, Great Bircham Blk 2, Row 1, Gr 4). The body of Uffz Seidel washed up on the coast of Norfolk 2 June, 1941, the date shown on his grave marker. Lt Stugg buried CC/3/8/228 (D.Drury).

(DeSwart). Added: The cause of the crash was icing. The entire crew were killed and buried at Yssel, Blk L, Row 10. Remaining crew: Ogefr Hermann Strodl, Bombardier (bur Gr 235); Ogefr Erwin Günther, R/O (bur Gr 236) and Ogefr Helmut Kadner, Gnr (bur Gr 237). Lt Stürzer buried Gr 234 (D.Drury).

A 4th, a "4 mot" in the Schweinfurt area on 31 March, 1944. His 5th, a B-17 25 km S of Steyr on 2 April, 1944. His 6th, a Wellington on 12 June, 1944, no location given (Perry Claims). His 7th, a Wellington on 13 June, 1944, no location. An 8th, a B-26 at St. Quentin on 8 July, 1944. A 9th, a Wellington on 1 August, 1944, no location. A 10th, a P-61 on 26 August, 1944, no location. His 11th, a B-17 at Mecklenburg on 14 January, 1945. His 12th, a B-17 over northern Germany on 15 March, 1945. Added: This 15 March claim reported as the last "4 mot" claim of JG-301 (C.König). Magnus, 13 victories.
